Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan and prepare for application of the site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance management plan
- Obtain, interpret and confirm work requirements
- Access, interpret and apply documentation required to supervise the operation of electrical equipment and installations
- Identify, address and report potential hazards, risks and environmental issues and implement control measures according to workplace procedures
- Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work activities
- Access, interpret, confirm and communicate geological and survey data
- Prepare a maintenance management plan, in consultation with relevant personnel to make use of available resources, plant, tools and equipment
- Select and confirm availability of resources for the safe, effective and efficient conduct of maintenance management tasks
- Coordinate activities with relevant personnel prior to commencement of, during, and on completion of the work
- Monitor, adjust and report on execution of the maintenance management plan
Performance Evidence
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including evidence of the ability to:
apply site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance management plans on at least two occasions, including:preparing a maintenance management planselecting and confirming available resources for the work activityidentifying and implementing improvements to work programscomplying with written and verbal reporting requirements and procedures.During the above, the candidate must:locate and apply relevant documentation, policies and procedures and confirm that the work activity is compliantimplement the requirements, procedures and techniques for applying site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance management plans, including:identifying the relevant information and scope of the work necessary to meet the required outcomesinterpreting and applying operational performance dataidentifying viable options and selecting options that best meet the required outcomesapplying procedures for choosing appropriate operational and construction techniquesapplying procedures for choosing and assigning appropriate plant and equipmentapplying work plans development and administration procedureswork effectively with others to apply site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance management plans in a way that meets all required outcomescommunicate clearly and concisely with others to receive and clarify work instructionsprovide team leadership.
